After scoring two late beautiful goals in his MLS debut back in March, former Paris Saint-Germain superstar striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored just one goal in his seven games since. Granted, the 36-year-old is in the twilight of his nearly two-decade professional career, but that didn’t stop him from taking out a full-page ad in the Los Angeles Times after signing with the Galaxy that read simply: ‘Dear Los Angeles, You’re Welcome.’

No one would accuse Zlatan of lacking confidence. No one would accuse him of playing nice, either. Zlatan has been bounced from games 13 times in his career and his volatile behavior was put on full display on Monday’s match against the Montreal Impact. With the game tied at 0, Zlatan earned a red card for slapping Montreal’s Michael Petrasso on the head after Petrasso accidentally stepped on his foot. Zlatan, like a kid who knew he fucked up, hit the deck and played victim, for some reason.

The Galaxy would go on to win the match 1-0 without their star, but the team will be without Zlatan for next week’s match against the San Jose Earthquakes and could be suspended further if that’s what the league decides.
