PSV Eindhoven hosted Sevilla in their second match of a home and away ‘tie’ during the Europa League tournament, soccer‘s second-tier club tournament behind the Champions League.
PSV actually dominated the match and beat Sevilla 2-0 but Sevilla had won the first match 3-0 so they advanced to the next round of Europa League play on a 3-2 goal aggregate over the two matches.
Despite PSV Eindhoven putting up a fight against Sevilla, it was a literal fight between a Europa League pitch invader and Sevilla’s Serbian goalkeeper that stole the headlines.
Sevilla’s Marko Dmitrovic was approached by the Europa League pitch invader who threw a punch at the 31-year-old keeper before Dmitrovic straight-up dropped him to the ground as other players rushed to his side.

PSV Eindhoven plays in the Dutch Eredivisie league where they currently sit in 4th place. It is unclear if the Europa League pitch invader was a local fan, a traveler, or what their situation is.
What is clear is nobody… Not a single person on the field was having any of that nonsense. That person got dropped like a bad habit and removed quickly.
There have been some wild behavioral displays on the soccer pitch lately. Just last week, a team in The Congo attacked a ref, chased him down, and punched and kicked the ref after an incendiary penalty decision.
