Terrell Owens was one of the most dominant players of his time when it came to his performance on the field but it was almost outshined by some of the celebrations he managed to come up with whenever he reeled in a touchdown.

I can only assume his antics were part of the reason the No Fun League eventually cracked down on touchdown celebrations and there was a dark, dark time when players were flagged for having the nerve to show emotion after scoring.

Thankfully, the NFL saw the error of its ways ahead of last season and decided to relax the rules and let its athletes have a little bit of fun after crossing the goal line.

Since then, players have taken full advantage of their newfound freedom— like Isiah Crowley, who managed to land a sponsorship after wiping his butt with a ball a couple of weeks ago.

We also can’t forget the legendary LFL player who took a beer to the face on the field after being named MVP after a game.

However, despite their efforts, I’d argue these players don’t have anything on the athletes who partake in another kind of football.

As anyone who plays FIFA knows, soccer players have basically cornered the market when it comes to celebrating after scoring a goal, with many teams pulling out pre-choreographed set pieces to stunt on their opponents.

With that said, some of the best moments I’ve seen have come in the heat of the moment, like when Massimo Maccarone grabbed a beer from a fan and chugged it.

Now, a Swedish soccer player has upped the ante with one of the most impressive goal celebrations I’ve ever seen.

According to Munchies, Kennedy Bakircioglu scored from 30 feet out earlier this week and one fan decided to commemorate the achievement by chucking a cup of beer in his general direction.

It somehow didn’t spill and managed to end up in the hands of Bakircioglu, who promptly downed it.

Pack it up, folks. It’s all downhill from here.
