Odds are, you’ve never dedicated yourself to anything as whole-heartedly as Maurício dos Anjos. The 33-year-old Brazilian is so all-in on his soccer team, Flamengo, that he covered 40 percent of his body for all eternity to show it.

Dos Anjos inked a replica of the Brazilian soccer club’s 2015 home jersey on his torso. According to VICE, the design took 32 sessions and over 90 hours to complete and the tattoo artist agreed to sign onto the project, which would typically cost $10k-$15k, for just $800 in hopes of increased exposure.

After only 30 percent of the tattoo was finished, dos Anjos told VICE that he and the tattoo artist had personal issues, so dos Anjos sold his motorcycle and saved his money to pay for a new artist to finish up. That’s when a friend called to offer to pay for the rest.

In response to what part of the tattoo hurt the most, the Brazilian soccer superfan answered:

The ribs hurt, but the spine was the worst – that was just terrible. My neck and stomach hurt pretty bad, too, but the rest was fine.

Dos Anjos, who has a wife, three-year-old twins, and a five-year old, has no regrets.

Trust me, I never felt any regret.

Can’t hate on a man who stands for something.
